| What are "Error Retrieving Mail" messages? |
When WebBox has trouble downloading your messages, it will place an "Error Retrieving Mail" message in the folder the mail would have gone to (usually the In-box). WebBox usually has problems as a result of improper configuration, but occasionally, WebBox will encounter an error with an account that usually works fine. If you get an "Error Retrieving Mail" message every time you log in, there is probably a serious problem with your account configuration. To get more information on the type of problem, click the subject of the "Error Retrieving Mail" message to read it. The message should give you a fairly detailed description of what went wrong, and how to fix it. Usually, these problems can be fixed by visiting your account configuration section, by clicking "Configuration" and then "Manage Email Accounts" while logged in to WebBox. Once there, troublesome areas will be highlighted in red. Please fill in the form as completely and correctly as you can, and press "Update Settings." WebBox will test your settings, and let you know the result of its tests. If your tests were completed successfully, click "Done" and then "Get Mail" to check for new messages. |
